HTA Senior Players and Club Officials – please be advised that the Committee made a further error and uploaded the wrong senior program to the website on Jan 21.
** Please note that only Div 1 Men and Div 2 Women will see any changes – all other draws are unaffected. **
We are aware that frequent programme changes are frustrating and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Please note that the latest programme version is now 26 Jan 2015 and this has now been updated on the website HERE and is also attached to this post, for your convenience.
Once again, please accept the Committee’s sincerest apologies and thank you for your patience.
PS By way of making amends, the offending Committee members will all voluntarily undertake several hours of Community Service …

Here are the Tournament draws and schedule of matches for Friday and part of Saturday (remember be there at least 15 mins before scheduled times), another update will be posted once results are entered after Fridays matches. Please remember all singles draws (except round robins) have a consolation draw for first round losers, which will be updated after play Friday with schedule and times. Read carefully across the draw to determine scheduled times, if in doubt e-mail or call me. We anticipated most finals being played Sunday, and have scheduled matches to achieve this if possible. Breaking News! All Senior Traditional Grand Final matches will now be played at Anembo Park, Littlehampton and all Senior Doubles Grand Final matches will be played at the Adelaide Hills Recreation Centre courts, Mt Barker.
It is anticipated that the concentration of all HTA Senior Grand Finals to just 2 locations will mean extra atmosphere, excitement and crowd participation and should provide a very fitting end to the season.
BBQs will be run on the day. Presentations to the winners and runners up of each division will be conducted at the conclusion of all matches at that venue. HTA Life Members and/or Special guests will be in attendance.
The presentations held at these venues on Grand Final Day will replace those made at a Senior Presentation evening, done in previous years.

Attached is the updated Club Contact List 18-01-15
Dear Club Secretaries & Coordinators,
Thank you to everyone who has helped the HTA compile in 2014/15, what is now, a very accurate database of Hills Tennis Club contacts. The HTA uses this database to email your Club important HTA information and so maintaining the accuracy of our mailing list is very important too.
** IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH CLUB TO INFORM THE HTA OF CHANGES TO YOUR LOCAL CLUB COMMITTEE ROLES AND PERSONNEL **
When your Club changes Committee members or positions, please notify the HTA Secretary (preferably by email or HTA website contact form) as soon as possible, advising the details of the new encumbents as well as the name and email address of outgoing Committee members.
It is important that the HTA be notified of BOTH the incoming and outgoing names/email address so that the mailing list can be kept as accurate as possible and so that new members immediately receive HTA communications and so that outgoing members are removed from the HTA correspondence list!
Tip: if you Club has it’s own domain name eg aldgatetennisclub.com.au etc, can we suggest that Committee Position emails such as secretary@, president@ etc are used by the Club/HTA rather than personal or work addresses. Club addresses can then be diverted in house etc as required. This is ‘best practice’ and we thank the many Clubs who have already implemented this type of system. In this way, HTA correspendence will always be delivered to these correct Club role based addresses at your Club and you can internally update your mail diversions etc yourself. If you need any assistance with the technical aspects of setting up Club email/web presence, please contact the HTA for possible tips or assistance.
For your information, the HTA seeks to keep current the firstname, surname, email, phone and mobile for the following positions at each Club:
2. Junior Coordinators (may be several)
3. Senior Coordinators (may be several).
5. Night Tennis Coordinator
6. Mid-Week Coordinator
and others from time time
*** REMINDER: PLEASE NOTIFIY THE HTA WHEN COMMITTEE POSITIONS AND PERSONNEL CHANGE AT YOUR CLUB (both incoming and outgoing names/emails are needed). ***
*** IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THE HTA INFORMED OF ANY CHANGES TO THESE ROLES AT YOUR CLUB ***
Working together to keep the HTA Club Contact Database accurate is the best way to facilitate great communication between the Association and your Club and we thank you for you help.
Calling all HTA Senior players!! You should have received info from your Senior Coordinator by now regarding the inaugural Inter-Association match against Great Southern Tennis Association. This event will be held on Sunday, 22nd February starting from 11.00 am at Anembo Park, Littlehampton. 10 male and 10 female players are required (for both traditional and doubles only players).
The Senior Activities Committee will be responsible for selecting the team if nominations outweigh team places available. Hurry, nominations close January 31, 2015. Let’s take ’em on!!
Jo Casey, Senior Activities Chairperson
Further to yesterday’s posting, please be advised that the Tuesday Night Summer Programme has again been revised.
The latest/current version can be found from the usual menus on the HTA website ( and from HERE)
The Spring season of night tennis came to a conclusion on 16 and 17 December and it wasn’t only the Xmas lights which were shining in Lobethal. The Lobethal Tennis Club hosted grand finals on Tuesday in Divisions 1 and 3 and were successful in both. Lobethal were also successful at Bridgewater where they defeated Piccadilly Circus to claim the Division 4 premiership.
Lobethal Aces defeated Piccadilly Serve Smash Cheers 3 sets – 28 games to 3 sets – 24 games to claim the Tuesday Division 1 title. It was pleasing to see Jack and Mary Young return to the night tennis scene and along with Mary and Eric Harrison Lobethal made a strong Division 1 competition even stronger.
The Tuesday Division 2 grand final at Bridgewater was won by Bridgewater Courtasones who defeated Mylor Bunyips. Anthony Morriss, Ross Wall, Angela Mullan and Christine Ward, along with John Norris lost only one match during the season.
Lobethal H.A.R.D. Hitters hosted Upper Sturt Hit N Miss in the Tuesday Division 3 grand final and were victorious 6 sets to zero. Newcomers Rex Burford, Ashley Clark and Danielle Helbers teamed with club stalwart Jill Pfitzner to make it a memorable night for Lobethal.
Lobethal Tuesday Tigers travelled to Bridgewater and defeated Piccadilly Circus 4 sets to 2 to win the Division 4 title. Regular supporters of the night tennis competition Marcel Smith, Wendy Rohrlach and Margy Seidel were complemented by Peter Young and Benjamin Koop to upset the minor premier and give Lobethal its third title of the night.
The Wednesday grand final was played at Stirling and won by the home team, Stirling KMA, who defeated regular grand finalist Echunga Hillbillies. Thomas Pope, Callum Morgan, Tarrant Hansen and Gabrielle and Vanessa Seymour were the dominant team throughout the season and were victorious 5 sets to 1 in the finale.
