Hi everyone.Decision-Time-Street-Sign_Insert_iStock_000021424920XSmall

In order to ensure that we reflect the needs and ideas of our member clubs, the SAC has a couple of matters it would like clubs to vote on before the Senior and Junior Conference (Mon 8th August).playing dates heading

We are considering SENIORS playing on the following dates and want your input:

  • 21st January
  • 28th January

Australia Day (public holiday) is on Thursday 26th January, which may affect your club’s vote for the 28th. The HTA Junior Closed tournament will also be held that weekend, but the JAC are happy to schedule this around seniors’ tennis.

cross fill heading

The SAC has prepared a summary of this matter and the arguments for and against allowing SENIOR players from the same club filling across to other teams in the same division. Please read the summary document thoroughly before voting on this issue. Click here to read document.

What you need to do:

  1. Read and discuss both of the above matters with your club committees.
  2. As a club, decide how you will vote on both matters.
  3. Download and fill in the return vote form and forward to the SAC before the 8th of August (Conference date) through your senior coordinator, club secretary or club president. Click here for the return form.

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful input into these matters.

The HTA’s annual Senior & Junior Conference will be held on Monday, 8th August at 7.30pm at The Haus Hahndorf, 38 Mt Barker Road. Food/drink/coffee/dessert orders will be taken at the restaurant before 7.30, so please arrive early to allow for this.

Important information will be given regarding the upcoming new season, including rule changes.

Clubs are required to send a senior and a junior representative to this meeting who can then feed back the relevant information to their club. Updating of club contact details will also occur on this night. Agenda will be distributed prior to the meeting.

Mark the date in your diary.
