On behalf of the HTA Management Committee may I congratulate all teams and players (whether you have made this season’s Grand Finals or not) on your contribution to Hills Tennis this 2016/17 season. Well played, we hope you enjoyed the season! Best of luck to all finalists!
Following the finals, the HTA AGM will be held on Monday, April 3rd 7:15pm for 7:30pm start at The Haus, Main St Hahndorf. Two delegates from each Club are constitutionally required to attend please. If you can’t attend, please nominate your proxy who will be attending. Quorum required. Notice of proxies and apologies to secretary ‘at’ hta.asn.au please. Meeting format will be short, sharp and shiny, Agenda to follow, with hopefully an opportunity for all to enjoy, during or afterwards, a coffee, cake or beverage in the care of our hosts at The Haus. The AGM is a great time to meet other Clubs and express both your gratitude and suggestions on Hills Tennis administration. If you would like to be more involved administering Hills Tennis, please make yourself known to someone on the Committee. Fresh ideas and energy are always welcome.
** New HTA Treasurer needed this year *** – if you are good with numbers, please consider doing a handover with Sue and assisting the HTA with our accounts. Work load is not immense and has been left in a well organised condition by Life Member Sue Hutson who stepped in to help out last year. If you have accounting or book keeping background that is great but anyone may apply and learn as they go.
Finally, it really is a fabulous time of year with a lot of attractive Hills men, women and juniors playing great tennis and having fun however it is worth a quick note of warning to all participants and spectators, particularly at finals time – there have been recent isolated reports of ‘UGLY’ parents or ‘UGLY’ player behaviour. It seems that a few people may be getting carried away with finals pressure. Tennis is fun, competitive but it is just a sport so, if you spot an “UGLY” person, please don’t hesitate to stand up on behalf of our Community and the HTA, involve your court supervisor or HTA rep and keep Hills tennis beautiful. For the great majority ie those seeking to re-inforce good behaviour during the finals, you will have the full support of the HTA with actions that you may take in this regard. Many thanks and best wishes to all.
Best of luck!
