HTA-Southern Districts Junior Winter Tennis – Registrations Closed for Season 2019.

  • Byes – Saturday 8 June, Saturday 13 July and Saturday 20 July
  • Last round to be on Saturday 24 August

I hope you’ve been enjoying the summer season. This email is to remind you about Junior Winter Tennis which will again be played in the Southern Districts Tennis Association competition. Players play for Hills Tennis and not for their club. The teams are made up of players from various clubs within the HTA. The home games have traditionally been at Anembo Park, Stirling and Hahndorf and the away games are in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. The season dates are TBA but historically are likely to commence after the April school holidays and finish in September. Some divisions may play Friday nights this season – TBA. There is likely to be no play on June long weekend and historically there is a break in the July school holidays for two weeks (dates TBC). We endeavor to have 5 players in each team to cover illness etc but this depends on numbers.Registrations are online via the form below and are open now and close mid March.

Players wishing to play winter tennis MUST be available every Saturday morning (or Friday evening if applicable) during the winter season (ie not be committed to any other sport). It is difficult to find fill-ins during winter so we can’t accommodate players with time clashes in other sports. Please think carefully before committing to winter tennis as it does mean traveling to Adelaide every second week – generally you can arrange transport with a fellow team member occasionally or organise a roster system to drive to Adelaide but you do need to be aware that this is not always possible and shouldn’t be relied upon when making the decision to play.

If you will be away for any weeks during the winter season (ie holidays) please advise us at the time of registration so we make sure you are in a team of 5 to cover your absence.

Subs will be approximately $55 and MUST be paid by the second week of play otherwise you can’t play until paid in full. Any coaching costs are extra.
